Family Weekend 2023 College Events

Meet other UK families, faculty, and staff during these events hosted by many of UK’s academic colleges. More specific event information will be available in September on the UK Guides Family Weekend mobile app and at www.uky.edu/familyweekend. 

Free parking will be available in the Cornerstone Parking Garage on South Limestone all day.

COLLEGE EVENTS SCHEDULE:

College of Communication and Information: Dogs with the Deans - Friday, September 22, 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. in the Lucille Little Library

• Families are invited to grab a hot dog outside of Lucille Little Library and join CI faculty, staff, and advisors on the third floor for some UK swag and treats at the CI Student Success Center Open House.
• An RSVP is requested, preferably by September 14th.

College of Education: The College of Education will host two separate events depending on your student's major. Both events allow you the chance to see our buildings and classrooms as well as meet our college leadership, other students, and their families. There will be cookies and coffee, and you can pick up a free t-shirt and other swag!

• Our teacher track, Interdisciplinary Disability Studies, and Leadership or Community Education and Human Learning majors and families are invited to meet us on Friday, September 22, from 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. in 109 Dickey Hall, located at 251 Scott Street.
• Our Exercise Science and Health Promotion majors and families are invited to meet us on Friday, September 22, from 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. in 100 Seaton Center, located at 1210 University Drive.

College of Health Sciences: Sweet on CHS - Friday, September 22, 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. in the Wethington Building, room 111

• Families are invited to join college faculty, staff, and advisors for an open house dessert reception.

Gatton College of Business and Economics: Gatton Welcome - Friday, September 22, 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. in the Gatton College

• The Gatton College of Business and Economics invites all family members for a celebratory gathering to showcase their state-of-the-art facility. Families will have the opportunity to tour the Gatton College and connect with students, faculty, and staff. Light refreshments will be provided.

College of Arts & Sciences: Family Weekend Tent Party - Saturday, September 23, 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

• The College of Arts Sciences will join families at the Tent Party on Saturday, September 23 on Stoll Field near Wildcat Alumni Plaza. 

Martin School of Public Policy and Administration: Meet & Greet - Friday, September 22, 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. in 445 Patterson Office Tower.

• The Martin School faculty and staff invite all public policy majors and their families to a community-wide meet and greet this Family Weekend! We will have light refreshments and some Martin School giveaways for our students and families.

• Getting to or participating in this event may require traveling longer physical distances (0.5+ miles).
• ADA parking is available with any ADA parking permit in the Gatton Student Center parking lot on Avenue of Champions and in the Cornerstone Parking Garage on S. Limestone.
• ADA restrooms are available in most UK buildings.
