Family Weekend 2027 Dates Coming Soon!

Family Weekend 2027 dates will be announced after the UK football schedule is released. Family Weekend is typically held during the third or fourth weekend of September and is often scheduled around a home football game. We look forward to sharing more details soon!

Family Weekend Checklist

1 - Check in With Your Student

Make sure Family Weekend (date TBD) is a good time to visit. Your student may already have plans or may need a reminder that you're coming.

2 - Book Your Hotel Early

Hotels and other accommodations fill quickly during UK Football weekends. We recommend booking as early as possible.

3 - Review the Schedule

The full Family Weekend schedule will be available this summer online and in the UK Parents & Families Guide.

4 - Register for Family Weekend

Register beginning June 1, 10 a.m. ET, through the Cat Chat Family Community to receive important updates and access to exclusive Family Weekend information.

5 - Purchase UK Football Tickets

Family Weekend football tickets go on sale this summer. More information to come.

6 - Plan Your Trip

Review FAQs and Family Weekend travel tips (including where to park, transportation options, and more) to help make your visit smooth and stress-free.

Make Accommodations Arrangements

The University of Kentucky campus is large and Family Weekend guests may be required to travel longer physical distances and stand at events. If someone in your party needs a wheelchair or other mobility equipment, please make arrangements ahead of time to bring equipment with you or rent from a local vendor. ADA parking is available on campus with any ADA parking permit and event drop-off location information will be available this fall.

The Family Weekend team will do our best to accommodate disclosed dietary restrictions but cannot guarantee completely gluten-free, dairy-free, or nut-free spaces. If you have any unique dietary concerns, please identify them on your registration form AND contact parents@uky.edu prior to September 1, 2026.
