Family Weekend 2023 Festival Latino de Lexington

Join Wildcat families and members of the Lexington community to celebrate Latin American art and culture in the heart of downtown Lexington at the Festival Latino de Lexington! With live music, dance, visual arts, and authentic cuisine, there is plenty to explore and enjoy. Be sure to stop by UK’s table in the non-profit organization tent! The festival is presented by Lexington Parks & Recreation and the Foundation for Latin American and Latino Culture and Arts.   Accessibility

Family Weekend 2023 Visitor Center Campus Tour

Register HERE for a campus tour! Have you taken a tour of campus yet? If not, join Visitor Center tour guides for a 45-minute walking tour that will introduce you to some of UK’s history and traditions and show you some of campus’s newest additions. Tours will start at the Visitor Center in the Gatton Student Center and end at the next Family Weekend event site. Tours are limited to 60 people per guide and will leave every half hour from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. 

Family Weekend 2024 ThinkFast Trivia: Are You Smarter Than a Librarian?

Join in with your family and friends for this interactive trivia competition and compete against some of UK's best librarians to win cash prizes, UK swag, and more! Limited seating and number of teams available; sign-up is first-come, first-served. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Hosted by Parent and Family Engagement and UK Libraries. Free parking will be available in the Cornerstone Parking Garage on South Limestone all day. Family Weekend VIP event buttons are required. No on-site registration sales.   Accessibility:

Family Weekend 2023 Wildcat Family Huddle

Family Weekend registrants are invited to a unique opportunity where they will meet other UK families, play get-to-know-you games, and take family photos from the middle of Kroger Field. Families will enter Kroger Field from Gate 12, and the field entrance will open at 4:30 p.m. We ask all participating families to be on the field by 5 p.m. for the start of the event.  Water will be provided, but other food and drinks are not allowed on the field.

Meet other UK families, faculty, and staff during these events hosted by many of UK’s academic colleges. Family Weekend 2023 Tour Kroger Field Sign up on site

Have you ever wanted to see behind the scenes of Kroger Field? Now is your chance! Join other UK families on a tour of Kroger Field and learn more about the home of Wildcat football. These walking tours are first-come, first-served based on overall capacity and can accommodate up to 20 people per tour; some waiting may be required until space is available on a tour. Tours will leave every 15 minutes with the last tour departing Gate 12 at 3:45 p.m. Tours will last 30-45 minutes.

Family Weekend 2023 Pick Your Path: Family Weekend Edition

Pick Your Path is time set aside during Family Weekend for you to get to know more about some of UK’s wonderful campus resources. You get to decide what you want to learn about and can attend as many sessions as you want! You’ll meet new people around campus, get free stuff, and learn more about UK. Check the UK Guides Family Weekend mobile app in September for information on all available paths and locations. Self-guided UK Traditions Tour

Start this self-guided tour of campus at the Bowman Statue in Wildcat Alumni Plaza where you can take your first family photo of the weekend and continue on to learn about UK history and important UK traditions. Pick up some fun UK swag along the way! Find the complete tour guide in the UK Guides Family Weekend mobile app in September. Hosted by the UK Alumni Association and the Parent and Family Association.

Family Weekend 2024 Visit the UK Art Museum

Visit the Art Museum to see the museum’s permanent collection – works of art from a rich variety of times and places are on view at all times. The collection includes significant examples of painting, sculpture, works on paper, and photography. Visitors can also enjoy our sculpture garden, directly outside the museum’s entrance. Family Weekend 2024 Check-in Required for all Registrants

Send your student to check in your family for Family Weekend using their BBNvolved Event Pass. Get your Family Weekend event entry buttons, swag bags, and any apparel you purchased. Family members wishing to check in without their student present will need their student's name and UKY email address.
