Pick Your Path: Family Weekend Edition

Pick Your Path is time set aside during Family Weekend for you to get to know more about some of UK’s wonderful campus resources. You get to decide what you want to learn about and can attend as many sessions as you want! You’ll meet new people around campus, get free stuff, and learn more about UK. Check the UK Guides Family Weekend mobile app in September for information on all available paths and locations. Free parking will be available in the Cornerstone Parking Garage on South Limestone all day. Pick Your Path Schedule of Events:

UK Traditions Tour

Start this self-guided tour of campus at the Bowman Statue in Wildcat Alumni Plaza where you can take your first family photo of the weekend and continue on to learn about UK history and important UK traditions. Pick up some fun UK swag along the way! Find the complete tour guide in the UK Guides Family Weekend mobile app in September. Hosted by the UK Alumni Association and the Parent and Family Association.

Visit the UK Art Museum

Visit the Art Museum to see the museum’s permanent collection – works of art from a rich variety of times and places are on view at all times. The collection includes significant examples of painting, sculpture, works on paper, and photography. Visitors can also enjoy our sculpture garden, directly outside the museum’s entrance. Call 859-257-5716 or visit http://finearts.uky.edu/art-museum for more information about the Art Museum. Free parking will be available in the Cornerstone Parking Garage on South Limestone all day.

Check-in

Send your student to check in your family for Family Weekend using their BBNvolved Event Pass. Get your Family Weekend event entry buttons, swag bags, and any apparel you purchased. Family members wishing to check in without their student present will need their student's name and UKY email address.

Family Reunions

As a member of the extended Wildcat family, we want to invite you and your students to participate in our brand new series of Family Reunions during Family Weekend. Family Reunions are smaller groups of students and their families with common interests and experiences coming together to celebrate student achievements and get to know one another. Family Reunions will be hosted by the Office of Residence Life, Fraternity and Sorority Life, First-Generation Student Services, and more!  Central Campus Reunion: Haggin Courtyard

Tent Party

Bring your family and friends to enjoy a fun afternoon full of delicious food, family-friendly activities, games, inflatables, music, and more! Special guests, Zack Attack! The greatest throwback party band…EVER, will be performing in the main tent beginning at noon. There will be something for Wildcat fans of all ages!

Family Weekend Pep Rally

As a special treat for Family Weekend participants, we are hosting a pre-game pep rally featuring members of the Wildcat Marching Band, UK Cheer, and UK Dance Team. We'll have free kettle corn and some giveaways you can use while cheering on the Cats to victory. Stop by after the Cat Walk, and we'll wrap up in time for you to head over to Kroger Field. Please note that no seating will be available on the field. Go Cats! Free for all students and guests. Family Weekend registration NOT required.

The Cat Walk

Don't miss this pre-game tradition! The Cats will make their way through Talbott Todd Way toward the Joe Craft Football Training Facility prior to the game. Guests are asked to line up on each side of the Cat Walk allowing ample space for the team to walk from the buses to Kroger Field Gate #1. View a map of the Cat Walk here.

Lewis Honors College Family Advisory Council Open House

Honors students and their families are invited to our Lewis Honors College open house. Meet other Lewis families, current Honors student ambassadors, Dean Brady, Associate Dean James, Assistant Dean Foster, and other Lewis faculty and staff. Light refreshments provided!
